On May 8, someone "attempted to gain access to the property," prompting the dispatch of law enforcement to the rapper's mansion.
One of Drake's security guards was injured in a shooting outside his Toronto home the day before, and on Wednesday, May 8, someone else was taken into custody by police for trying to break into his estate, according to USA Today.
Around 2:00 pm, according to police spokesperson Ashley Visser, someone "attempted to gain access to the property," prompting the Toronto Police Service to be called to Drake's mansion.
Police did not reveal the person's identity to the public because they were arrested under the Ontario Mental Health Act, which exempts some incidents from criminal prosecution.
As per the act, law enforcement officials may choose to take an inmate "to a physician for examination" if they suspect that the detainee is "apparently suffering from a mental disorder" that could potentially cause serious physical harm.
This is the most recent event to occur at the residence of The Six Gods. Gunmen in an unidentified car opened fire at Drake's house's entrance on Tuesday, May 7. After being hit, the security guard was taken to the nearby hospital for emergency treatment for his severe wounds, where he is still being monitored.
